Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
These Terms (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pebble app and the eggnog.ai/pebble pages (together, the “Service”), operated by Pebble, Inc. (“Pebble,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Pebble
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- You must be physically located in the United States. Pebble's data sources, rep lookups, and SMS verification are US-only. If you are outside the US, join the waitlist instead.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
2. Your account
- Keep your phone number and login secure. You're responsible for actions taken under your account.
- You may not impersonate anyone else or pick a handle that suggests you represent a government official, organization, or company you don't represent.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harass other users, or abuse the Service.
3. What Pebble is, and isn't
Pebble helps you call, email, and comment on civic proceedings, and connects you with nonprofits when you donate. Pebble is not a political campaign, a lobbying organization, or a registered charity. We don't take sides in partisan disputes — the Service surfaces proposed bills, rules, and lawsuits that match the issue track you pick, but your action is your own.
When you call your rep, send an email, post a comment, or donate, you are the actor. Pebble supplies the scripts, contact info, and hand-off tools. We do not submit anything on your behalf.
4. Acceptable use
Pebble has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Don't use Pebble to:
- Post, share, or submit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or violates anyone else's rights.
- Post slurs or hateful content targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Harass, threaten, or dox anyone — including elected officials beyond the publicly-listed contact information we surface.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service outside of documented APIs.
- Send spam (SMS, email, comment submissions), or circumvent upstream providers' rate limits and terms (e.g. mass- submitting identical comments on Regulations.gov).
- Interfere with the Service's operation or the experience of other users.
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans or manipulate feeds.
Civic disagreement, partisan opinion, criticism of public officials, and strong language about policy are not objectionable — Pebble is built for civic engagement and political speech is protected.
5. Reporting and moderation
Every post in Pebble has a report affordance (the menu icon on each post in the home feed). Tapping it lets you report the content and pick a category (spam, harassment, hate or slur, sexual content, or other). You can also block any user from the same menu — once blocked, you won't see anything they post.
We commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours. Reports are screened by an automated moderation pipeline and, where needed, human review. Content that violates these Terms is removed; users who violate these Terms may have their content removed, their accounts suspended, or their accounts terminated, depending on severity and history.
We don't tell users that they've been reported, blocked, or that a specific report led to a specific decision. This protects the people who use the report tool from retaliation.
6. User content
You retain ownership of any content you post (messages, comments, handle). By posting, you grant Pebble a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content inside the Service. You can delete your content at any time; the license ends when you delete it (except to the extent we've already shared it with third parties at your direction — e.g. comments submitted to Regulations.gov, which we cannot recall).
You are solely responsible for your content. Pebble is not responsible for content posted by users.
7. Third-party services
When you tap a civic action, Pebble may hand you off to a third-party service — your phone dialer, your mail app, Regulations.gov, Every.org, etc. Once you leave Pebble, those services' own terms and privacy policies govern your interaction with them. Pebble is not responsible for outages, data handling, or outcomes on those services.
8. Donations
Donations made via Pebble are routed through Every.org. Pebble does not process payments and does not take a cut. Every.org sends 100% of your donation to the recipient charity.
9. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may change these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app and the “Last updated” date will change.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (email support@eggnog.ai; in-app deletion coming). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination we delete your data per the Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be available at any given time, that it will be bug-free, or that civic actions taken through the Service will have any particular outcome.
We are not lawyers, legal advisors, or registered lobbyists. Nothing in Pebble is legal advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pebble is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability in any dispute will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you have paid Pebble in the past 12 months (which, as the Service is free, is usually $0).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Pebble harmless from any claims arising out of your content or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
15. DMCA
To report copyright infringement, email support@eggnog.ai (subject: Pebble DMCA notice) with: (i) your contact info, (ii) the work you claim is infringed, (iii) the material on Pebble that is infringing, and (iv) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or authorized agent.
